FERTILITY & LCHF
Infertility is a complex issue that affects both men and women, of all ages. It's defined by the medical community as the unsuccessful attempt to conceive, without the use of contraception, for a period of over 12 months. Although there may be many causes for infertility, metabolic health has shown to significantly improve the chances of conceiving as well as help avoid the need for more intrusive procedures. Even during fertility treatments, what you eat and when you eat it, can have a major impact on your success. LCHF can help. Couples should follow a moderate to strict LCHF Plan (coupled with IF) for 3+ months when trying to conceive.
The PCOS Plan
The PCOS Plan: Prevent and Reverse Polycystic Ovary Syndrome through Diet and Fasting tackles the most common reproductive concern in women, PCOS. 80% of all cases of infertility at IVF clinics are women with PCOS. This comprehensive guide addresses how Real food and Intermittent Fasting can help women with PCOS.
Reproductive health and fertility is not exclusively a female "problem", obviously. Male Reproductive Health is 100% as important. Although I don't talk much about it, the brilliantly hilarious Dr. Priyanka Wali does. What her Low Carb Denver 2019 presentation here.
